UNITY THROUGH GOD

We live in the greatest country in the world... or at least we think we do. At this particular moment in time, I believe we do, not because we are great alone, but because we are one nation under God.
I woke from my daily nap to the sound of a ceremony. It was 10:45 PM on a Saturday, August 7th, 2021, time for the medal presentation for Olympic women's basketball. France was receiving their bronze medal, and I couldn't stop watching. Each lady took an award off a platter and presented it to a teammate, then China did the same with silver medals. Finally, the USA did the same with golds, and then they played our National Anthem, which — as it always does — brought tears to everyone's eyes. Although these teams competed against and beat one another, it was a beautiful display of unity, and that's what truly matters — not the medals, not the competition, but bringing out the best in and working alongside one another.
What is truly important is that all of these nations were able to be there together for 17 days and play and compete and touch each other's lives (and my life) and have fun. Meanwhile, we are still fighting a virus that tried to ruin the moment, this much-needed moment.
It was clear to me that while I think we are the greatest nation in the world. We are far from Great. And like many events and things in life, we are only as strong as our weakest link. We should humble ourselves and realize that we are actually one world under God, and we — all nations — need to grow up and start loving our neighbor as we love ourselves. So America, let's get our heads out of our computer and open a Bible. Go get some exercise. Care about something other than ourselves every day and make a difference to someone in need.
I look forward to making a difference by putting 100% into this business. It is my hope that someone will read this and stick with us as we try to help people grow in both. Not just as one nation under God, but one world under God.
Thank you,
Larry
