We've decided to start trying to incorporate portfolio updates into our weekly issues. To start us off, we're doing this quick update to notify readers of the change and to highlight a stock that's recently gone through some heavy ups and downs. It's no secret that our portfolio is majority down, but it's full of stocks we've hand-selected for various reasons; they're stocks we care about, stocks we believe in, and stocks we know have immense potential in the long run. The stock we're highlighting today fits all of these criteria: View (VIEW).

On March 28th, we recommended VIEW at $2.09. It was a small stock with great potential, and we took a chance when it dipped 27% in a single day. Little did we know, the stock would continue to plummet to $0.37—even worse, the company was nearly delisted from the Nasdaq. Despite this troubling run, View has since proved itself to investors, and its stock has slowly but surely climbed back above $2.00, and its future seems bright. Not often do stocks come back from a tumble as nasty as View's, but they managed. Just two days ago, View had their earnings report, and good things came of it. The company declared a 25% year-over-year growth in revenue and a 7% year-over-year decline in GAAP cost of revenue, alluding to overall positive year-over-year growth. Moreover, in quarter two of 2022, View has secured deals with three U.S. airports, the Versante Hotel, and even Amazon—this means each building associated will be sporting View's smart glass technology.

The company continues to pursue additional sources of capital and diligently works to improve the climate and the quality of human life. We'll leave you with this quote from Dr. Rao Mulpuri, CEO of View: "We applaud the Senate for moving forward with the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, representing the biggest investment in climate technology adoption in U.S. history. When enacted, the Dynamic Glass Investment Tax Credit (ITC) would make smart windows cost neutral to traditional windows, and this represents a major inflection point for widespread adoption." The implications of this are vast, and with this change comes certainty for investors. View's future continues to look brighter with each passing month, and we hope it continues to thrive.

Happy investing.
