KEEP LOOKING

God is abundantly present in the world around us, always. Through the Holy Spirit, He is present in the word and your heart. All you gotta do is ask Him to open the eyes of your heart so you can see Him. In other words, you gotta be blessable and keep looking. So set aside time to seek his face (1 Chronicles 16:11). When you seek His face, you also seek His strength which He will gladly provide. This isn’t an occasional “fast food” delivery request, but it requires a sustained discipline of pulling your focus from the worldly idol of deception to a focus and thought of Him. So take time in the word and search for Him in the scriptures.

All the beauty in the world He created is designed to point you to Him, the one who “created the heaven and the Earth.” (Gen 1:1). So… whenever you are enjoying something beautiful, thank Him. Yeah, just like that breath you just took, thank Him. Or that dog you just pet. Thank Him. A simple thank you really pleases God. And at the same time, it turns momentary happiness into everlasting joy.

This applies to those difficult times as well. “Keep Looking” for Him. This will be an endless supply of hope and comfort because you know that all your moments are in the glorious hands of your Father—your creator and provider.
