JUST A MOMENT

It has been on my heart to share a bit more about living in the moment and how to enjoy the moments as they arrive. As that moment passes, another arrives, and it is your moment after moment that creates your journey to cherish and be grateful for. At a glance, this may seem daunting to go alone, and, quite frankly, it would scare the mess out of me without some amazingly faithful counsel and guidance. Well, thank God… no, really! Take a moment to literally thank God… Okay, good. I just thanked Him too.

Fortunately, we have access to the greatest guide and counselor in the universe. The one who “In the beginning... created the Heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1). This is the same God whose hope for us all is for “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (to) be with you all. Amen.” (Revelation 22:21) Genesis 1:1 is how the bible begins, and Revelation 22:21 is how the bible ends. Of course, there is much to study and unpack in between, but I need to keep it simple and stay humble in the moment; and it really is that simple. Not always easy, but indeed simple. Please take a moment and reflect on those two simple, powerful, and oh-so-meaningful verses.

In keeping it simple, I want to end with a verse, a beneficial prayer, and a reminder to get us through these beautiful moments God blesses us with every day of our life.

(Isaiah 25:1) “Lord, you are my God, I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” Now, I won’t unpack this verse, as I want to keep it simple, but when I do, it is straightforward and pretty easy. I look at keywords like exalt, praise, wonderful, counsels, faithfulness, and truth. Then I look up their definition or meaning in the context that they’re coming from the King of Kings. I’m definitely not a pastor, and I am often lazy, but as an ambassador for the Lord who is willing to “put in work” in an attempt to better understand and grow closer to my God, I have a responsibility to Him. And my commitment to Him requires me to share and hopefully touch one person’s life with something helpful, meaningful, and of value so everyone can enjoy every moment he blesses us with.

Now the very simple and easy prayer from today’s verse is “Lord, You are my God,” and what else does anyone really need? So take a moment and be prayerful that “Lord, You are my god.”

Until next time,

Be blessable and much love,

Larry

I’m sure many of you know Bob Marley, right? He has a great song you may want to listen to, as even he says: “Don’t worry, about a thing, because every little thing is gonna be alright.”
